Although true to the Mission Style and historic American Craftsman Movement, the Affinity Mission Rocking Chair is a luxurious, comfortable rocking chairs made by Amish craftsmen in Holmes County, Ohio. These stately rocker chairs mission style are substantial – tall, wide, and heavy. The AMRC is available in Brown Maple and Quarter-sawn White Oak with a beautiful, golden finish.
The Affinity Mission Rocking Chair is built, finished, and upholstered in a beautiful, rural area of Wayne County, Ohio by an Amish family that specializes in this type of chair in their small shop surrounded by cornfields and a forest.
The upholstery of our mission style rocker chairs includes high-quality, durable fabrics in official college colors, subdued non-college colors, or leather in one of several colors. These are well-constructed Amish college chairs to be enjoyed for generations. First licensed by The Ohio State University, this mission-style rocker chair is available to any institution.
The standard wood and stain for the AMRC chair is brown maple with OCS 117 (Asbury) stain.

The inspiration for this chair is an expectant, young mother in the Chicago area who contacted us in 2012, in search of a fine college rocking chair in which she could rock her new baby and who was expected within the week! Well, we missed that deadline, but the little baby was right on time. The request set us in motion to build a college chair that would be perfect for mother and child…and anyone who loves a solid and comfortable rocking chair with Mission side boards. Made in America as are all of our chairs. Constructed, finished, and upholstered in northeastern Ohio.
This is the perfect college chair, university chair, graduation gift, and retirement gift. Dimensions: height: 45 inches , width: 29 inches, and weight: 51 pounds, Leather upholstery is available at additional cost and extra weight. This chair normally requires 14-18 weeks for completion.
