It’s a great chair built with mortise and tenon construction of brown maple or quarter-sawn oak. When my Head of School gave me the option to select my retirement gift after many years of teaching, it was more than easy! Alumni Chairs was fantastic to work with. We were able to customize one of his Affinity Mission rocking chairs to exactly match what I thought my wife might like. After a bit of back and forth and several swatches of leather samples, we settled on a quarter sawn oak mission style rocking chair with classic green leather. The chair above is the result; it rocks perfectly on our indoor stone porch. It’s nice to sit in it and look out at the ocean.
